Not quite one year after forming, Tom and Phil are currently in the studio recording some upcoming tracks from the new WILL'S ADDICTION disk possibly
due out this coming summer 2010! At the urging of some of their fans from around the Island, the disk will contain a
mixture of Celtic as well as Original material mostly penned by Mills(Tom) over the past couple years.
One of the tunes, "I Like Girls", written for the upcoming movie "The Legend of the Psychotic Forrest Ranger", is an '80s style
tongue-in-cheek, rock anthem! A little out of character for the band who mostly play a mix of Maritime and Blues-style classics,
but a fun project to be a part of. Mills co-produced the soon-to-be hit with local recording engineer Mark Scott of Smashbox Records.
Another tune, which the band hopes will catch on locally, is a collaboration between Williams(Phillip) and Mills, called
"The Giant Fiddle". It tells of local culture and how The Giant stands fixed, rising high from her perch on the Sydney Waterfront, bringing
together young and old alike to celebrate and sing out proudly the praises of our Cape Breton culture - proud Cape Bretoner's that we are!
Tom started a new local Cape Breton project with WILL'S ADDICTION playing mostly Pub tunes with a
sprinkling of original material. The other member of the band is Phillip Williams of the Westmount area.
The guys took to the stage in April 2009 and can been seen in Cape Breton at such places as Maxwell's on
Charlotte Street in Sydney, Governor's Celtic Pub on the Esplanade in Sydney, The Thirsty Hiker Pub in Ingonish,
Coastal Waters in Ingonish, The Shamrock in Dominion, The Steel City, The Royal Cape Breton Yatch Club and
various charity events thruout the summer 2010. For bookings, please call 902 270-5989 or 902 564-2058. Cheers!
